Travis Maurice “Bud” Anderson Sr., age 77, passed away on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020 at home on his farm. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Anton with David Carpenter and Harold Carey officiating. Interment followed at Anton Cemetery.

Travis was born in Littlefield, TX, Dec. 16, 1942, to C.D. and Ruby Inez Anderson. He joined the United States Navy in 1961, was stationed in San Diego, CA, on the U.S.S. Lofberg and Longbeach as a Shipfitter Second Class; July 27, 1961-July 27, 1965. He welded on the first nuclear powered cruiser the U.S.S. Longbeach, that sailed around the world taking on no provisions. Travis married Carolyn Sue Martin, of Texico, NM on May 21, 1962. After the military service, they moved to Spade, TX where he farmed; and was a State Contractor for over 30 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Anton Cemetery Association.
