The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team took down Hart on Tuesday, 67-49, in their first meeting of district play.
With the win, the Lady Wolverines improve to 12-6 overall, 3-0 in district play.
The Lady Wolverines erupted for 24 points out of the gate in the first quarter, and outscored the Lady Horns, 19-16, in the second frame to take a, 43-26, lead into the locker room at halftime.
Out of the break, the Lady Wolverines netted 16 points in the third quarter, but were outscored by Hart, 10-8, in the final frame, as they took the contest, 67-49.
Emma Samaron and Sayler Beerwinkle led the team in scoring with 18 points apiece, while Halee Toscano joined them in doublefigures scoring with 16 points.
Mahalia Delgado tallied six points, while Taytum Goodman chipped in five points and Sydney Furr finished with four points.
The Lady Wolverines were at Anton on Friday for their first meeting with the Lady Dogs. They will continue District play on Tuesday with a road game against Kress.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
