Tina Kay Lowe, 49, of Lubbock, formerly of Amherst, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 in Lubbock. Services were held Thursday morning, Jan. 25, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Amherst with Larry Sanders and Mike Butts officiating. Interment followed in Littlefield Memorial Park, with arrangements under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home of Littlefield. She was born Nov. 20, 1968 in Amherst to Jimmy and Gayla Cowan. Tina graduated from Amherst High School in 1987. She remained a Bulldog fan, and also loved the Red Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed listening to music, and dancing. Tina was a hard worker, a loyal friend, and had a giving personality. This is proven in the fact that she was an organ donor, and because of her generosity, many lives were saved when she lost hers. Tina is survived by her son, Jake Lowe of Ropes; a daughter, Alex Lowe of Ropes; three sisters, Terri Hanna and husband, Matt of Sudan, Tammy McDaniel and husband, Michael of Littlefield and Tracy Simons and husband, Dan of Cypress; nieces and nephews, Shane McDaniel of Heilbronn, Germany, Tyler McDaniel of Georgetown, and Jasmin Simmons and Sydnee Simmons, both of Cypress; and numerous other extended family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers were Matt Hanna, Michael McDaniel, Dan Simmons, Tyler McDaniel, Brandon Pointer, and David Barrera.
