Lady Cats come up short against Hereford, 57-50

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team fell short against the Hereford Lady Whitefaces last Tuesday, 57-50.

With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 3-4 overall on the season.

Junior, Madison McNeese, led the team in scoring with 20 points, to go along with four steals, three rebounds and one assist. She was joined in double-figures scoring by sophomore, Kyndal Edgemon, who netted 13 points to go along with two rebounds.

Arianna Cruz chipped in seven points and one rebound, while senior, Brookelyn Gau, contributed four points, five rebounds, three steals and one assist. Senior, Ashtyn Parker, tallied three points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals, while senior, Emily Champion added three points, four rebounds and one steal.

Sophomore, Kennadi Hanlin, added two rebounds and two assists.

The Lady Cats hosted Floydada on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Thursday when they open play at the Farwell Tournament.
