Nettes take down Borden County at LCU, 65-46

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team took down Borden County, 65-46, on Tuesday at LCU’s Rip Griffin Center.

With the win, the Nettes improve to 7-4 overall on the season.

It was a tight game early-on with the Nettes clinging to a one-point advantage, 13-12, but they were able to stretch their lead in quarter number two and take a, 34-28, lead into the locker room at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Nettes outscore Borden County, 17-6, to extend their lead to, 51-34, heading into the final quarter of play. In the fourth quarter, Sudan outscored their counterpart, 14-10, to take the contest, 65-46.

AddisonBoehning led the team with 23 points, to go along with nine rebounds, six steals and two assists. Gracyn Shultz chipped in 15 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two assists, while Stevi Lockhart chipped in 10 points, two rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks.

Braelyn Pointer tallied six points, five steals, three rebounds and one assist, while Riley Edens notched six points, six assists and four rebounds. Landree Gonzales contributed three points and one rebound, while Elaine Martinez added two points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Sydney Cornelius added one rebound and one steal, while Kambry Tolbert finished with three rebounds and two steals.
