NETTES FALL ON THE ROAD TO RANDALL, 75-63

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team fell short on the road against Canyon Randall on Monday evening, 75-63.

With the loss, the Nettes fall to 5-4 overall on the season.

Sudan jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter, as they poured in 27 points to take a, 27-15, lead into quarter number two. However, their offensive fell dormant in the second frame, as they netted just four points, while Randall poured in 18 points to take the lead, 33-31, going into the locker room at halftime.

Sudan would not recover from the rough second quarter, as Randall outscored the Nettes, 20-13, in the third quarter and, 22-19, in the fourth quarter to take the contest, 75- 63.

Senior, Addison Boehning, led the team, posting a doubledouble with 21 points and 11 rebounds, to go along with seven assists and five steals. Junior, Stevi Lockhart, tallied 20 points, one rebound, one assist and one block, while junior, Gracyn Shultz, chipped in 12 points, three rebounds, three assists and one steal.

Landree Gonzales contributed six points, two assists and one steal, while Riley Edens tallied four points, two steals and one rebound. Senior, Sydney Cornelius, added three rebounds and one steal, while Elaine Martinez finished with one rebound and one assist.

The Nettes hosted Lubbock Christian High School on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Tuesday with a road game against Borden County.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
