Wolverines blast Plains on the road, 76-37

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ picked up their first win of the season on Monday on the road against Plains, 76-37.

With the win, the Wolverines improve to 1-1 overall on the season.

Springlake-Earth jumped out to a, 22-10, lead in the first quarter and never looked back. They outscored the Cowboys, 18-9, in the second quarter, making the score, 40-19, going into the locker room at halftime.

They poured in 15 points in the third quarter and closed out the contest with a 21-point fourth quarter to take the contest, 76-37.

Kaden Castillo led the team in scoring with 18 points, and he was joined in double-figures scoring by Evan DeLeon, who netted 16 points, Micah Sanchez, who tallied 11 points and Trace Goodman, who finished with 10 points.

Keshan Holmes netted eight points, while JJ Jaramillo chipped in seven points and Dereck Rosalez added three points. Alex Alvarez tallied two points, while Josh Samaron finished with one point.

The Wolverines will return to the court on Nov. 30 th when they host the Sundown Roughnecks.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
