Nettes fall to Plainview in Tournament finalee, 66-47

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team fell to Plainview in their final game of the Frenship Tournament on Saturday with a, 66-47 loss.

With the win, the Nettes improve to 5-3 overall on the season.

The Nettes got off to a slow start in the first half, as they scored just seven points in the first quarter and 11 in the second frame to trail Plainview, 39-18, going into the locker room at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Nettes, outscored Plainview, 17-16, to trim the lead to, 55-35, and they added 12 points in the final quarter, but fell short in their comeback efforts, falling to Plainview, 66-47.

Gracyn Shultz led the Nettes with 23 points, to go along with two steals and one rebound, while Addison Boehning chipped in 10 points, six rebounds and four steals and Stevi Lockhart contributed nine points, seven rebounds and two assists.

Braelyn Pointer tallied five rebounds, two points and two assists, while Riley Edens chipped in two points and six rebounds and Sydney Cornelius added one point, two rebounds and one assist.

Landree Gonzales notched five rebounds and one assist, while Kambry Tolbert added two rebounds and Elaine Martinez finished with one rebound.

The Nettes were at Randall on Monday and hosted Lubbock Christian on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Nov. 30 th with a road game against Borden County.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
