Nettes take down Montwood, 50-34

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team won their second game of the Frenship Tournament on Friday with a, 50-34, victory over Montwood.

With the win, the Nettes improve to 5-1 overall on the season.

Both teams turned in 12 points in the opening quarter, but the Nettes went on a tear in the second frame, outscoring Montwood, 19-3, to take a, 31-15, lead into the locker room at halftime.

Montwood outscored the Nettes, 8-6, in the third quarter, but the Nettes came back in the final frame and outscored Montwood, 13-11, to take the contest, 50-34.

Stevi Lockhart led the team with 20 points to go along with two re-bounds and two assists, while Addison Boehning chipped in eight points, seven rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Gracyn Shultz tallied seven points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Landree Gonzales contributed six points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal. Braelyn Pointer notched four points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal, while Sydney Cornelius tallied three points and three rebounds.

Elaine Martinez contributed two points, two rebounds and one steal, while Kambry Tolbert finished with three rebounds, two steals and one assist.
