The Springalake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team took down Crosbyton on Friday, 47-31.
With the win, the Lady Wolverines improve to 2-2 overall on the season.
Crosbyton held an early lead after one quarter, 6-5, but the Lady Wolverines poured in 12 points in the second frame to take a, 17-13, lead into the locker room at halftime.
Springlake-Earth came out strong in the third quarter, as they poured in 21 points to take a commanding, 38-22, lead into the final quarter of play. Both teams netted nine points in the fourth quarter, as the Lady Wolverines took the contest, 47-31.
Halee Toscano led the team in scoring with 15 points, while Sayler Beerwinkle tallied nine points and Taytum Goodman finished with eight points. Sydney Furr tallied six points, while Emma Samaron finished with five points and Micaela Fuentes added four points in the contest.
The Lady Wolverines were at Plains on Monday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Nov. 30 with a home game against Sundown.
Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m.
