The Olton Mustangs and Fillies’ varsity track teams competed at the 2A Area Track Meet on Friday in Vega with the boys placing third overall with 81 points and the girls finishing 8 th with 38 points.
The Girl’s Advance Kylee Noack in three individual events and Marissa Rodriguez in one event. Noack will also be heading to Regionals as part of the girl’s 4x100-meter relay team,which also includes Celestte Ramirez, Olivia Cox and Makenly Smith.
On the boy’s side, Joshua Granillo is moving on in the 100- meter dash, while Jason Granillo advanced in the 200-meter dash and Alex Santillan advanced in the 1,600-meter run. Jack Allcorn is moving on in the shot put and discus, as well as Brennon Huguley in the discus. Israel Santillan advanced in high jump. Joshua and Jason Granillo also advanced as members of the 4x100 and 4x200- meter relay teams. They will be joined by Jake Soliz and Ezekiel Molina in both events.
