ANNUAL FOOTBALL CONTEST IS SET TO RETURN AUG. 24

The annual Lamb County Leader-News football contest is set to return with the first set of games coming out in the August 24th edition of the Leader-News.

The first week of the contest includes 10 high school football games and 10 College games.

Once the NFL season starts, the contest will consist of 10 high school football games, five NCAA games and five NFL games.

There will be 20 games and a tie-breaker in each contest.

Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place each week. A season grand prize TBA will be awarded to the individual, who accumu- lates the best season score.

But, in order to be eligible for the grand prize, you have to turn in an entry EVERY week. I will be keeping track on a spreadsheet here in our office each week.

All you have to do to play is write the team you think will win on the official entry form (we will not accept any copies of entry forms or entries on notebook paper). Twenty games and one tie-breaker will be offered in the contest each week.

For the tie-breaker, guess the combined score of both teams. (Total points scored in the game) Contest participants must be at least 10 years of age. Only one entry per person will be accepted.

Take or mail the completed entry form to the Lamb County Leader-News, 313 W. 4th Street, P.O. Box 310, Littlefield, Tx 79339, before 4 p.m. each Friday. Mailed entries must be post marked before noon on Friday. Winners’ checks will be mailed.

Employees of the Leader-News and their immediate families, any football players or coaches of any team are not eligible to win. Results will be reported each Wednesday.

Each set of games will be in the Sunday edition of the Leader-News, which means your contest entries must be in or post marked by 4 p.m. every Friday.

If you would like to sponsor the contest, contact Grata Reber at the Lamb County Leader-News at (806) 385-4481 for more information.

We look forward to seeing all of your names each week throughout the contest and best of luck to all of our contestants.
