Bake Sale set for Tuesday, April 16th

The Lamb County Retired School Personnel Association will have a bake sale (cakes, pies, breads— no cookies or muffins) on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the Ag Center in Littlefield, Texas from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Texas Community Futures Forum to be held on May 2

The Texas Community Futures Forum (TCFF) is being held in Lamb County to assist local Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Agents in identifying the most critical issues affecting local citizens. Our local Extension program has a rich history of providing educational programs that address the most critical issues in the county, related to Agriculture and Natural Resources, Families and Health, Youth Development, and Community Development. To make sure that the programs being planned are on target, we invite your participation in the TCFF process.

AUSTIN — It is the time of year when people are outdoors enjoying warmer weather, beautiful flowers and emerging wildlife. As you spend time outdoors, you may start to notice more wildlife in your backyard, neighborhood or surrounding areas. Species including birds, deer and snakes are active this time of year and their young can be mistaken as abandoned.

Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County met in regular session on Monday, April 8th, at the Lamb County Courhouse in Littlefield to discuss a nine-item agenda. Lamb County Judge James DeLoach called the meeting to order and there was nobody present to speak during the public comment portion of the meeting.

The Circus is Coming to Olton!

Texas Job Growth Surged in February

The Texas labor market again achieved new record-high levels for jobs, Texans employed, and the civilian labor force following over-the-month increases in February. Texas’ seasonally adjusted job count increased by 49,800 over the month of February to reach 14,103,700 jobs. This reflects job growth in 44 of the last 46 months and marks the largest total nonfarm monthly job gain since January 2023.
