Littlefield Marchin’ Cats prepare for 2026 season with summer band schedule

The Littlefield High School Marchin’ Cats are getting ready for another season of performances and competitions with their 2026 summer band schedule.

Summer rehearsals will help students prepare for the upcoming marching season, including learning the UIL show drill before the start of the school year. Band directors are encouraging all members to attend each rehearsal to ensure the group is ready to perform at the high standard expected of the Marchin’ Cats.

The first week of summer band ran from July 27–31.

Band members had leadership training, New Marcher Orientation for incoming freshmen and students who are new to the band program. Full band rehearsals will took place July 29–31.

The second week of summer band will continue Aug. 3–7 from 1–5 p.m. with full band rehearsals. The final week of summer rehearsals will be held Aug. 10–13 from 6–8 p.m.

For the new Marchin’ Cats, Orientation will begin at 1 p. m. inside the Littlefield High School Band Hall. Students attending orientation must bring a completed UIL medical history and physical form before participating in marching band rehearsals.

Students are reminded to come prepared for outdoor practices by bringing a large refillable water bottle, hat or visor, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfortable athletic shoes. Students should wear clothing appropriate for outdoor activities and avoid boots, slides, or flipflops during rehearsals.

Students who are unable to attend a summer band rehearsal are asked to notify Mr. Barry through ParentSquare. For more questions, please send them to jbarry@lfdisd.org
