School board holds regular meeting

The Littlefield Independent School District’s Board of Trustees met in regular session on Thursday during lunch to discuss a 13-item agenda. The meeting was called to order at 12 p.m.

National Cotton Council general counsel John Gilliland took the podium at the International Trade Policy committee meeting on February 11 to provide an update on the economic and geopolitical priorities, which all centered on China.

Cotton prospects across Texas

The Texas Cotton Producers organization met on February 11 to discuss crop conditions for the 2023 planting season among other business. Rolling Plains In the Rolling Plains region, it was reported that producers received enough moisture to establish their wheat and haygrazer cover crops, but there may not be enough subsoil moisture to take them to harvest.

HHSC Warns Texans About Scammers Targeting Lone Star Cards

AUSTIN – The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is receiving an increase in reports of scams targeting clients who use Lone Star Cards and is urging Texans who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits to monitor purchases on their Lone Star Card through the Your Texas Benefits mobile app.
