Lone Star Lineman’s Rodeo showcases skills of frontline employees

AMARILLO, Texas (July 8, 2025) — More than 100 Xcel Energy line workers from Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado competed in the 32nd Lone Star Lineman’s Rodeo in Amarillo on June 27.

4-H Tier 1 Water Ambassador Leadership Academy Visits Lubbock

On June 12th, the Tier I 4-H Water Ambassadors visited Lubbock as part of their statewide leadership academy tour. The event, hosted at the Fibermax Center for Discovery, was supported by the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District (HPWD).
FIRST PLACE WINNER -- Krista and Stan Carpenter entered their 1923 pink stretch T-Bucket, named “Pinky-T,” in the Annual Springlake Fouth of July parade on Friday, July 4th, 2025. “Pinky-T” is the only 1923 pink stretch T-Bucket registered with the National T-Bucket Association, in that particular unique pink color, and a lot of hard work went into upgrading her with her new supercharged Chevrolet 383 CI motor. Caregiver Conference, program services

The South Plains Association of Governments Area Agency on Aging is excited to announce its 11th Annual Caregiver Conference, scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The conference will take place at the Museum of Texas Tech located at 3301 4th Street in Lubbock, TX.

Springlake holds annual 4th of July Celebration

Lined up along the U.S. Route 385, classic cars, ATVs and cars decked out in patriotic decorations tossed candy at parade attendees as they headed toward Springlake City Park.
