Ash Wednesday, like Good Friday, is a time to reflect on the reality, “I am a sinner.” Not all churches observe Ash Wednesday, which begins Lent - the penitential season before Resurrection Sunday. I have no problem with churches not observing Lent.

Wildcat Band’s Aloha Hawaii fundraiser set February 27

The LHS Marchin’ Cats will have their final Aloha Hawaii, “Dreams Do Come True” fundraiser, to be held Sunday, Feb. 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lamb County Ag and Community Center. Each band student participating is selling tickets to bring customers to their Hawaiian theme tables.

Lfd. StuCo will honor Veteran’s Thursday, Nov. 11

The Littlefield High School Student Council has scheduled a Veterans’ Day program at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, in the new Wildcat Gym, to which the community is invited to attend. The program will be presented in honor of all Littlefield-Area veterans.

Sudan High School to honor all veterans

Sudan High School will be honoring all those from the area who have served the United States in military duty, at a special Veterans’ Day ceremony, Thursday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m. in the Sudan High School Auditorium.
