Hornets split first two games of series with Tahoka

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity baseball team split the first two games of their series with Tahoka on Friday and Saturday to force a decisive game three. In game one on Friday, the Hornets fell to the Bulldogs 9-5, in eight innings.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team run-ruled the Crane Golden Cranes, 11-1, on Saturday in Seminole to claim the Class 3A Bidistrict Championship. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 14-10 overall on the season.

Olton falls to Ropes in Bi-district round, 9-0

The Olton Mustangs saw their season come to an end on Thursday night in Littlefield, as they fell to the Ropes Eagles in the Class 2A Bi-district round of the playoffs, 9-0. The Mustangs went scoreless in the top of the first inning to open the contest, and in the bottom half of the side, Mason Marmolejo drew a lead-off walk and Brady Bryan was hit by a pitch to put two runners on for Ropes.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team saw their season come to an end on Friday in the Class 3A Bi-district round of the play-offs, as they fell to the Presidio Lady Devils, 9-3, in Wink.

Hornets secure two seed, set for series with Tahoka

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity baseball team capped off their regular season on Friday with a road victory over Ralls, 16-1. With the win, the Hornets finsh the regular season with a mark of 17-6 overall, 10-2 in district play.

Wildcats fall to Mustangs, 11-4, to close regular season

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team closed out the regular season on Friday with a home loss to the Denver City Mustangs, 11-4, at Wildcat Field. With the loss, the Wildcats finish the regular season with a mark of 12-10 overall, 4-4 in district play.
