Wildcat football earns All-District selections

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team had several members earn All-District selections for District 4-3A-D2. First Team All-District offensive selections include: Omar Martinez, Chip Green, Miguel Terrazas and Major McNeese.

Nettes throttle Lady Horns, 79-5

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team cruised to victory on Tuesday night in their district-opener, as the dismantled the Lockney Lady Horns, 79-5. With the win, the Nettes improve to 12-4 overall, 1-0 in district play.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team rallied past the Denver City Fillies on Tuesday, 47-41, to open the district season. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 10-5 overall, 1-0 in district play.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team won their tournamentopener at the 2023 Farwell Invitational on Thursday, 42-36, over Canyon’s JV. With the win, the Lady Cats open tournament play for the weekend 1-0, improving to 8-4 overall on the season.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team lost an overtime thriller to Portales on Thursday, 67-65, in overtime, in the first round of the 2023 Farwell Invitational. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 01 in tournament play on the weekend, 9-1 overall on the season.

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team took down the Sundown Roughettes on Friday, 7165, in Sudan. With the win, the Nettes improve to 11-4 overall on the season. The first quarter was tighley contested, with both teams netting 17 points.
