Lady cat magic in slaton

Lady Cat Magic was in full effect on Tuesday night, as the Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team edged out the Slaton Tigerettes in regulation, 51-50, on a last second buzzer beater by Cali Saldana.With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 9-8 overall, 2-1 in district play.

Lady Cats cruise past Friona, 62-43

The Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team picked up their first district win of the season last Friday when they took down the Friona Squaws, 62-43.With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 8-8 overall, 1-1 in district play.Amoni Jefferson was fouled on an attempt by Aaliyah Padilla to open the contest.

The Littlefield Wildcats lost a tough contest on the road to open district play, falling to the Slaton Tigers, 7968.With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 85 overall, 0-1 in district play.

Mustangs bounce Panthers, 69-47, to claim Championship

The Olton Mustang’s varsity basketball team rolled past the host team Whitharral Panthers, 6947, on Saturday to take the tournament Championship.With the win, the Mustangs improve to 11-2 overall on the year.

Wildcats finish 3-1 at Denver City Tournament

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team went 3-1 at the Denver City Basketball Tournament on Dec, 5th and 6th.They improve to 4-3 overall on the year.The Wildcats took down MCA in their opener, 68-44.

Green, Castillo headline All-District awards for Wildcats

The Littlefield Wildcats finished tied for second in District 2-3A this year and were well represented on the All- District teams.Senior quarterback, Chip Green headlined the list of awards for the Wildcats, as he was named Co-Offensive MVP for the district.

Hornets go 1-3 at Tahoka Tournament

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity basketball team competed at the Tahoka Tournament last weekend, where they went 1-3.The Hornets fell to Grady in their opener on Thursday, Dec. 5th, 58-50.

Nettes go undefeated at Lamesa tournament

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team went undefeated at the Lamesa Tournament last weekend, going 5-0.They improve to 9-6 overall on the year.In their tournament-opener on Thursday, the Nettes took down Kermit, 67-38.

Sudan Hornets take down Sundown, 46-37

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity basketball team picked up a win on Friday when they took down the Sundown Roughnecks, 46-37.With the win, the Hornets improve to 5-6 overall on the year.
