AMHERST OPENS THE SEASON AGAINST LUBBOCK HOME SCHOOL THIS FRIDAY

The Amherst Bulldogs are coming off of their lone scrimmage last week against Happy and Petersburg, as they look to begin preparation for their week one match-up against Lubbock Home School. “We played well, and we executed,” Head Coach Daniel Hinojosa said.

Get your football contest entries in by 4 p.m. on Friday

The annual Lamb County Leader-News football contest is back with the first set of games coming out in this past Sundays paper. The first week of the contest includes 20 high school football games. Once the college season starts in Sept. I will do my best to throw in some of their games as well.

Last night we were at the Littlefield Wildcats first scrimmage of the season against Snyder at Wildcat Stadium, and for the first time since March, things felt a little normal.
