Mustang cross country team competes at Plainview Meet

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity cross country team competed at Plainview this past weekend, finishing fourth as a team with 87 points. Freshman, Jacob Escobedo, led the Mustangs with a 10th place finish, clocking a time of 19:20.08.

The Amherst Bulldogs’ varsity football team went on the road and took down the Wellman-Union Wildcats on Friday night, 56-8. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 3-1 overall on the season.

Wildcats fall to Idalou on Homecoming, 35-6

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team dropped their Homecoming game to the Idalou Wildcats on Friday night, 35-6, for their third consecutive loss. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 1-3 overall on the season. The Wildcats trailed Idalou, 35-0, heading into the final quarter of play.

Lady Cats edge out River Road in five sets, 3-2

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team took down River Road on the road, 3-2. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 3-5 overall on the season. River Road took the first set, 10-25, but the Lady Cats bounced back to even the match, 1-1, by taking set two, 26-24.

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines varsity cross country team took first place at the LCU Chaparral Invitational last Friday with a combined time of 1:08:15.70. The Lady Wolverines were led by freshman, Taytum Goodman, who finished first place overall with a time of 11:16.30.
