Anton set to open district play against Panthers

The Anton Bulldogs’ varsity football team won a big game at home on Friday over the Paducah Dragons, 56- 6. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 6-0 overall on the season. “It was a good win and a good test for us,” Head Coach Matthew Hoover stated. “We can’t let that game define us this week.

HORNETS STING COWBOYS FOR HOMECOMING VICTORY, 46-14

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team overcame a slow start on Friday night to take down the Plains Cowboys, 46- 14, for a Homecoming victory. With the win, the Hornets improve to 3-3 overall heading into district play.

By DEREK LOPEZ The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team came back after dropping their first set to Lamesa on Tuesday to take the match, 3-1. With the win, the Lady Cats improved to 2-1 in district play. Set one, was a back-and-forth chess match for both teams.

Nettes place first at Mae Simmons on Saturday

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity cross country team placed first overall on Saturday at the Lubbock Tim Torres “Pre” Coaches Meet with 42 points. The Nettes were led by senior, Yahaira Martinez, who placed fifth overall with a time of 14:41.

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team compete at the Lubbock Tim Torres “Pre” Coaches Meet at Mae Simmons on Saturday, where they placed third overall as a team with 79 points. Freshman, Taytum Goodman, led the team, finishing first overall with a time of 12:00.

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity cross country team competed at the Lubbock Tim Torres “Pre” Coaches Meet on Saturday. The Hornets were led by freshman, Alan Flores, who finished 12th overall with a time of 26:21.51. Freshman, Joseph Willeford, finished 14 th with a time of 26:54.
