Lady Cats well represented with All-District selections

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ volleyball team was well represented on the All-District team, led by sophomore, Madison McNeese, who was awarded Blocker of the Year for District 3-3A. ‘We have never received this many district honors and I ambeyond proud of our girls,” Head Coach Claire Head said.

Nettes finish ninth at Regional XC Meet

The Sudan Nettes finished ninth overall as a team on Tuesday at the Region I-2A Cross Country Meet, which took place at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. The Nettes finished the meet with 270 points. They were led by junior, Hailey Flores, who finished 54th overall with a time of 14:40.20.

Sudan Nettes throttle Hale 94-35

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team throttled the Hale Center Lady Owls on Tuesday, 94-35. The Nettes jumped out to a, 22-8, lead in the first quarter and never looked back. They poured in 28 points in the second quarter to take a, 50-15, lead into the locker room at halftime.

Hornets represented at Regional XC Meet

The Sudan Hornet’s cross country team was represented by junior, Edgar Delgado at the Region I-2A Cross Country Meet on Tuesday, which took place at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. Delgado finished 53rd overall with a time of 20:48.90.

BI-DISTRICT CHAMPS —In their first season of Six-Man football, the Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity football team claimed the Region I Six-Man Division I Bi-District Trophy over White Deer Thursday night, 56-36, at Cowboy Corral Stadium in Happy.

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity football team earned their first Six-Man play-off victory on Thursday, as they took down the White Deer Bucks, 56-36, to earn the Bi-district trophy. With the win, the Wolverines improve to 7-3 overall on the season.

MELTON SIGNS LOI TO PLAY BASKETBALL AT BENEDICTINE

LOUISBURG — Madilyn Melton started playing basketball in the third grade and fell in love with the sport. Melton, a Louisburg senior, will have an opportunity to play a little longer, signing a national letter of intent with Benedictine College. “It is exciting,” Melton said.
