The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team fell to the Class 3A, fourth ranked Idalou Lady Cats on the road on Saturday, 73-48, for their first loss of the season. With the loss, they fall to 2-1 overall on the season.

MUSTANGS SET TO BATTLE WITH CISCO IN AREA ROUND

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team won their first gold football since 2009 last week when they took down New Deal, 35-33, in the Class 2A Bi-district round of the football play-offs. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 8-3 overall on the season.

Olton Fillies take down Floydada, 42-28

The Olton Fillies’ varsity basketball team picked up a win on Friday over the Floydada Lady Wmds, 42-28. The Fillies outscored the Lady Wmds, 9-6, in the first quarter and, 9-8, in the second quarter to take an, 18-14, lead into the locker room at halftime.

BI-DISTRICT CHAMPS - The Olton Mustang’s varsity football team claimed their first-Bi-district trophy since 2009, as they defeated the New Deal Lions on Thursday afternoon, 35-33, at Lobo Stadium in Levelland.
