SPRINGLAKE-EARTH SENDING FOUR TO STATE TRACK MEET

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines and Lady Wolverines’ varsity track teams competed at the Region I-1A Track Meet at South Plains College on Friday and Saturday with four athletes advancing to the State Track Meet in Austin.

LADY CATS DOWN MULESHOE ON SENIOR NIGHT, 3-1

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team won their regular season finale at home on Saturday night against the Muleshoe Lady Mules, 3-1. With the win, the Lady Cats close out district play with a record of 6-4 and will enter the play-offs as the third seed from District 3-3A.

Lane Wilson will represent Sudan at State Track Meet

The Sudan Hornets and Nettes’ varsity track teams competed at the Region I-2A Track Meet at West Texas A&M University on Friday at Saturday. Lane Wilson will be representing Sudan in Austin at the State Track Meet as he placed second in the boy’s 110-meter hurdles.

Littlefield competes at Regional Track Meet

The Littlefield Wildcats and Lady Cats’ varsity track teams competed at the Region I-3A Regional Track Meet at Abilene Christian University on Friday and Saturday. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s Shot Put 12 th Ashtyn Parker 32’10.5” Boy’s Shot Put 8 th Kevie Hood 44’8.

The Amherst Lady Bulldogs’ varsity track team was represented at the Region I-1A Regional Track Meet, which took place at South Plains College on Friday and Saturday. Freshman, Dennys Reyes finished 13 th in the girl’s long jump competition with a leap of 13’0.75”.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team clinched a playoff birth on Tuesday when they run-ruled the Dimmitt Bobbies, 15- 4, at Lady Cat Field. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 5-4 in district play.
