The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team fell to the Portales Rams on Tuesday in the consolation bracket, 55-49. With the loss, the Wolverines fall to 0-2 in tournament play. Portales jumped out to a, 17-10, lead in the first quarter.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team finished as the runner ups at the Wildcat Classic, which concluded Wednesday evening, as they fell to Portales in the Championship game, 48-39. With the loss, the Lady Cats finish tournament play, 2-1.

CONSOLATION BRACKET WINNERS – The Olton Mustang’s varsity basketball team took down Lockney on Wednesday afternoon to win the Consolation Bracket at the Wildcat Classic in Littlefield. The Mustangs finished tournament play, 2-1.

MUSTANGS RUN AWAY FROM WILDCATS IN SECOND HALF

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team used a second half surge to take down the Littlefield Wildcats at Mustang Gym on Monday, 76-54. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 15-2, while the Wildcats fall to 3-10 overall on the season.
