WILDCATS DOWN LAMESA, 6-2, EARN THIRD SEED ENTERING PLAY-OFFS

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team won a seeding game over Lamesa on Monday, 6-2, at Lubbock-Cooper High School, to earn the third seed in District 3-3A going into the play-offs. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 12-11-1 overall, 5-4 in district play.

Reyes competes at Regional Track Meet

The Amherst varsity track teams competed at the Region I-1A Regional Track Meet at South Plains College in Levelland on Friday and Saturday. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s Triple Jump 10th Dennys Reyes 29-05.25

Anton battles at 1A Regional Track Meet

The Anton varsity track teams competed at the Region I-1A Regional Track Meet at South Plains College in Levelland on Friday and Saturday with the boys finishing tied for 27th with two points. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 3,200-meter run 11th Andy Alonzo-Rivera 15:05.

SPRINGLAKE-EARTH SENDING THREE TO STATE TRACK MEET

The Springlake-Earth varsity track teams competed at the Region I-1A Regional Track Meet at South Plains College in Levelland on Friday and Saturday with the Wolverines placing third overall with 56 points and the Lady Wolverines finishing ninth with 33 points.

WILDCATS THUMP LAMESA, 9-2

The Littlefield Wildcats rallied back to take down the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes on Tuesday in their second meeting of district play, 9-2, at Wildcat Field. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 10-11-1 overall, 3-4 in district play.
