Amherst track teams compete at Sudan Meet

The Amherst varsity track teams competed at the Son Qualls Relays at in Sudan on Friday, March 31st with the Bulldogs finishing 13th overall with two points and the Lady Bulldogs finishing 15th with four points. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 100-meter dash 7th Dennys Reyes 13.

The Springlake-Earth varsity track teams competed at the Son Qualls Relays at in Sudan on Friday, March 31st with the Lady Wolverines placing fourth overall with 60.5 points and the Wolverines finishing 11th with six points.

The Sudan varsity track teams hosted the Son Qualls Relays in Sudan on Friday, March 31st with the Hornets taking second place overall with 79 points and the Nettes finishing seventh with 35 points. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 100-meter dash 6th Melodia Rodriguez 13.

Wildcats struggle against Cubs in district-opener

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team stumbled in their district-opener last Tuesday, as they fell to the Brownfield Cubs, 10-8, in nine innings. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to, 0-1 in district play.

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines won a thriller over the Crosbyton Chieftains on Friday, as they walkedit off with a, 16-15, victory at Wolverine Baseball Field. With the win, the Wolverines are 21 in district play on the year.

The Olton varsity track teams hosted the Sandhill Relays at Mustang Stadium in Olton on Friday with the Fillies taking second place overall with 78 points and the Mustangs placing second with 143 points. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 100-meter dash 6th Amie Beelitz 13.
