The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity baseball team defeated Muleshoe’s JV on Saturday, 14-4.
Muleshoe got on the board first with two runs in the top of the inning, but Springlake-Earth answered with a six-run bottom of the first. The Wolverines added six more runs in the bottom of the second to take a, 12-2, lead into the third inning.
Muleshoe added two runs in the top of the third, but the Wolverines answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning to take the contest, 14-4.
Slade Beerwinkle pitched 1.1 innings for the Wolverines, two runs and one walk, while earning three strike outs. Braden Bradley pitched one inning, earning two strike outs, while Tyler Tanaro pitched 0.1 innings and Alex Alvarez pitched 0.1 innings earning one strike out, while giving up one walk and two runs..
At the Plate, Froyland Agundiz was 3-3 with three singles and an RBI, while Donovan Stiggers was 1-2 with a single and three RBI’s, and Bradley was 2-3 with a single, a double and three RBI’s. Xavyer Mosqueda was 1-3 with a single, a walk and two RBI’s.
