The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team took down Hart on Friday, 80-47 to improve to 2-0 in district play.
The Wolverines came out strong, pouring in 22 points in the first quarter. They added 18 points in the second frame to make the score, 40-27, going into the locker room at halftime.
The Wolverines turned in 18 points in the third quarter, while netting 22 points in the final frame to take the contest, 80-47.
Keshan Holmes led the way for the Wolverines with 22 points, and was joined in double-figures scoring by Kaden Castillo, who netted 18 points and Trace Goodman, who chipped in 12 points.
Evan DeLeon tallied nine points, while Micah Sanchez contributed seven points and JJ Jaramillo tallied six points. Alex Alvarez, Derrick Rosales and Josh Samaron each finished with two points in the contest.
