The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team fell to Lubbock Christian on the road on Friday, 73-60.
With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 6- 7 overall on the year.
LCHS outscored the Wildcats, 21- 14, in the opening quarter, but the Wildcats poured in another 14 points in the second frame to cut the lead to, 39- 28, going into the locker room at halftime.
Littlefield poured in 20 points in the third quarter to trim the lead to, 56- 48, but LCHS netted 17 points in the final frame to take the contest, 73-60.
Chip Green led the Wildcats in scoring with 15 points, while Omar Martinez and Elijah Salazar each netted nine points. Ja’Den Williams and Ryan Williams each tallied seven points, while MJ Randle chipped in six points and Zeke Saenz added four points. Jeremiah Trevino finished with three points in the contest.
The Wildcats traveled to Levelland to take on the Lobos on Tuesday afternoon. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season after Christmas when they host the Wildcat Classic.
Their tournament- opener will be Thursday night against the Springlake- Earth Wolverines.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
