The Littlefield Wildcat’s varsity basketball team cruised to victory in their second round match-up of the Farwell Tournament against Texico, taking the contest, 77-43.
With the win, the Wildcats improved to 1-1 in the tournament, 10-1 overall on the season.
Littlefield opened the contest with a 21-point outing in the first quarter and they outscored the Wolverines, 21-9, in the second frame to take a, 4213, victory into the locker room at halftime.
The Wildcats outscored the Wolverines, 15-7, in the third quarter, but Texico would not go down without a fight, as they outscored Littlefield in the final frame, 23-20, before falling to the Wildats, 77-43.
Kam McCarty led the team in scoring with 17 points, to go along with four assists, four steals, one rebound and one block, while Jayden Barrio tallied 12 points, three rebounds and three assists, and Ryan Williams tallied 12 points, two rebounds, two asssits and two steals.
Omar contributed 11 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block, while MJ Randle tallied nine points, four rebounds, four steals and one assist, and Jeremiah Trevino added seven points and two assists. Chip Green contributed seven points, five rebounds two steals and one assist, while Ja’Den Williams added two points, seven rebound and one assist, while Sir Pratt finished with four rebound and one assist.
