The Sudan Hornets and Nettes’ varsity and JV cross country teams competed at the District 3-2A Cross Country Meet on Tuesday, at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
The Nettes were led by Anneke Van De Pool who placed fifth overall with a time of 13:37.03 andAubrey Lopez, who finished eight overall with a time of 14:10.66. Both runners qualified for the Regional Meet.
Leah Rose finished 18th with a time of 15:06.01, while Kalissa Harris finished 23rd overall with a time of 15:33.71, and Danyelle Castillo finished 31st with a time of 16:14.57.
The Hornets were led by Samuel Briseno who placed sixth overall with a time of 19:17.17, and Miles Ledbetter, who placed eighth overall with a time of 19:33.10. Both runners qualified for Regionals.
Sudan will run at Mae Simmons on October 21st for the 2A Regional Cross Country Meet. The girls will run at 12 p.m. with the boys to follow at 12:30 p.m.
