The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team got back into the win column on Tuesday evening, as they went on the road and took down the Muleshoe Lady Mules, 71-54.
With the win, the Nettes, improve to 2-3 overall on the year.
Sudan jumped out to an early, 14-8, lead in the first quarter, and they edged out the Lady Mules, 15-14, in the second frame to take a, 29-22, lead into the locker room at halftime.
The Nettes added 19 points in the third quarter to extend their lead to, 48-37, going into the final quarter of play. In the fourth quarter, the Nettes poured in 23 points to close out the contest, 71-54.
Addison Cornelius led the team with 18 points, seven rebounds, five steals, four assists and one block, while Edette Herrera tallied 12 points, eight rebounds, six assists, six steals and one block and Haylee Toscano chipped in 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Kaileigh Greenwalt contributed eight points, three rebounds, two steals and one assist, while Erica Herrera added six points, six rebounds and two steals, and Raquel Armendariz contributed five points and one rebound. Emry Humphreys chipped in four points, one rebound and one steal, while Lexi Jennings tallied four points, two steals, one rebound and one assist, and Andrea Williams added two points and one rebound.
Masyn Provence tallied one point, three rebounds and one steal and Kalissa Harris finished with three rebounds, two steals and one assist.
The Nettes were at the Tahoka Tournament this weekend. Results were not available at press time.
They will continue their season on Dec. 3rd when they host the Ropes Lady Eagles.
Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m.
