The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team blew out the Seagraves Eagles on Monday, Nov. 25th, 62-28.
With the win, the Mustangs improved to 3-0 overall on the year. Olton outscored the Eagles, 138, in the opening quarter and they poured in 15 points in the second frame to take a, 28-14, lead into the locker room at halftime.
The Mustangs came out of the gates hot in the second half, opening it up with a 22-point third quarter to stretch the lead to, 50-24, going into the final quarter of play. The Mustangs added 12 points in the final quarter to take the contest, 62-28.
The Mustangs were led by Santi Jimenez, who tallied 24 points, to go along with six steals, two rebounds and two assists. Joining him in double-figures scoring, was Sebastian Sparkman, who tallied 13 points, seven assists, five steals and two rebounds.
Matias Flores chipped in seven points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal, while Wyatt Nelson contributed five points, five rebounds and two steals, and Johnathan Cooper added five points, five rebounds and one steal. Zayden Falcon tallied three points, four steals, two rebounds and one assist, while Alan Flores added three points, two rebounds and one assist and Brady Azam finished with two points, four rebounds and one assist.
