The Olton Mustangs went on the road last Friday and took down the Lockney Longhorns, 28-12.
With the win, the Mustangs improve to 4-0 overall on the year.
The Mustangs totaled 379 yards of offense; including 256 passing yards and 123 rushing yards.
In the first quarter, Wyatt Francis connected with Rylan Holmes on a 33-yard touchdown pass, but the Mustangs missed on the two-point conversion, leaving the score, 6-0. Later in the quarter, Francis would find Alex Green for an 80yard touchdown pass and Jett Tomsu converted the two-point conversion to extend their lead to, 14-0. Lockney, though, would get in on the scoring, as Darrin Jimenez, scored on an eight-yard touchdown run, making the score, 146, as the first quarter came to a close.
Neither team scored in the second frame, as Olton took a one-score lead into the locker room at halftime.
Callen Burns punched in a two-yard touchdown run and Santi Jimenez followed it with the PAT to push the Mustang lead to, 21 -6, heading into the final quarter of play.
In the fourth quarter, Lockney’s Carter Duniven hit Josiah Rosales for an 11yard touchdown pass, but the Longhorns missed on the two-point conversion, trimcatches ming the lead to, 21-12. Olton would put the exclamation point on the game later in the quarter, as Callen Bums scored on a four-yard run followed by the PAT from Jimenez, as Olton went on to take the contest, 28--

Francis finished the game 6-17 passing for 174 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, while Brady Azam was 4-8 for 82 yards.
Callen Burns led the rushing attack with 14 carries for 46 yards and two scores, while Erick Sanchez tallied eight carries for 49 yards and Tomsu finished with seven carries for 18 yards. Francis added four carries for 10 yards.
In the receiving game, Green led all receivers with three catches for 137 yards and one touchdown, while Holmes caught four passes for 61 yards and a score, and Manny Carrasco finished with two catches for 37 yards. Jimenez added one catch for 21 yards.
Defensively, Rigo Galvan led the team with 10 tackles, including one for loss and a fumble recovery, while Emmitt Nelson chippcd in nine tackles, including three for loss, two sacks and a fumble recovery and Cesar Ceballos added six tackles.
Tomsu contributed seven tackles, including two for loss, while Holmes, Paytn Jimenez and Santi Jimenez each added four tackles.
