The Olton High School Cross Country teams competed at the District 3- 2A Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Tuesday, where the Mustangs placed second overall, advancing to Regionals.
The Mustangs were led by senior, Harry Amador, who placed first overall to claim the District Championship, clocking a time of 18:57.96.
Sophomore, Casimiro Villarreal, finished fifth overall with a time of 19:46.70, while junior, Sebastian Sparkman, finished 14th overall with a time of 21: 16.00, and sophomore, Manuel Marquez, finished 18th overall with a time of 22:00.37.
Freshman, Zachary Magallanes, finished 22nd overall with a time of 22:30.34, while sophomore, Aiden Ramos, finished 24th with a time of 23:57.40, and freshman Jaydyn Vega, finished 29th with a time of 26:18.13.
The Fillies were led by freshman, Gabriella Reyes, who finished 11th overall, clocking a time of 14:15.86. Sophomore, Magaly Rios, finished 27th overall with a time of 17:22.93.
Regionals will be held at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Monday, Oct. 21st. The boys will run at 9:30 a.m.
