The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team fell to Stratford in Slaton on Saturday, 37-29.
With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 2-3 overall on the season.
Stratford jumped out to a, 14-5, lead in the opening quarter, but Littlefield shut them out in the second quarter, while netting 12 points of their own to take a, 1714, lead into the locker room at halftime.
The Lady Elk would bounce back in the third quarter, outscoring Littlefield, 15-7, making the score, 29-24, heading into the final quarter of play.
In the fourth quarter, Stratford outscored Littlefield, 8-5, to take the contest, 37-29.
Ari Castillo led the Lady Cats with nine points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals, while Amoni Jefferson tallied five points, nine rebounds, three steals and one assist, and Madison Williams chipped in five points and one rebound.
Cali Saldana contributed five points, two steals and one assist, and Aubree Richardson finished with three points in the contest.
