The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team moved to 8-0 in district play on Tuesday with a road victory over Lazbuddie, 72-18.
With the win, the Lady Wolverines improve to 17-7 overall on the year.
Sayler Beerwinkle led the team in scoring with a game-high 21 points, to go along with three steals and two assists. Halee Toscano chipped in 17 points, eight steals and six assists, while Taytum Goodman posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 steals, to go along with eight assists.
Emma Samaron tallied 12 points and eight rebounds, while Jasmine Garcia and Sydney Furr each tallied four points, and Ada Hernandez finished with two points.
The Lady Wolverines were at Hart on Friday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Tuesday with a home game against Anton.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
