The Springlake-Earth Varsity Cross Country teams competed at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview, where the Lady Wolverines placed third overall as a team, advancing to Regionals.
The Lady Wolverines were led by junior, Aabriella Villanueva, who finished fourth overall with a time of 12:54.65.
Senior, Aryca Ibarra, finished ninth overall with a time of 13: 21.25, while freshman, Maribel Villanueva, finished 20th with a time of 13:51.28.
Sophomore, Yareli Cortez, finished 30th overall with a time of 15:05.34, while senior, Marisela Rodriguez, finished 32nd with a time of 15:09.58. Sophomore, Jocelyn Salas, finished 34th overall with a time of 15:38.04, and freshman, Brizza Reyes, finished 37th overall with a time of 16:21.06.
The boy’s were led by sophomore, Kaylob Frietze, who placed fifth overall with a time of 18: 51.75, and sophomore, Nathan Ramos, who placed eighth overall with a time of 19:58.17. Both will be advancing to Regionals.
Freshman, Josiah Castillo, also finished 12th overall, clocking a time of 23:32.95.
Regional Qualifiers will run at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock Oct. 21st or 22nd.
