The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team dropped their first two contests of the season, falling to Muleshoe last Saturday, 64-46, and Smyer on Tuesday, 74-47.
With the losses, they fall to 0-2 overall to begin the year.
Against Muleshoe, the Lady Wolverines were led by Taytum Goodman, who tallied 22 points, and Emma Samaron, who finished with 11 points.
Against Smyer, the Lady Cats were led by Samaron, who tallied 18 points, seven rebounds and three steals, and Goodman, who finished with 15 points, eight assists and six steals.
Aryca Ibarra tallied 10 points, six rebounds and two assists, while Aabriella Villanueva chipped in two points, Isabella Gonzales added two points and three rebounds and Natalie Rosalez finished with five rebounds.
The Lady Wolverines hosted Wildorado on Saturday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Nov. 28th with a home game against Sundown.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
