The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team defeated the Farwell JV1 team on Friday, 55-44, to advance to the championship game on Saturday against the Farwell Lady Blue.
With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 2- 0 in tournament play on the weekend.
Littlefield opened the contest on an, 18- 10 run, behind 10 points from Kyndal Edgemon and six points from Madison McNeese. Farwell would bounce back in the second frame, outscoring the Lady Cats, 16-12, to cut the lead to, 30-26, going into the locker room at halftime.
Farwell would outscore the Lady Cats, 16- 5, in the third quarter, to make the score, 4235, going into the final quarter of play, but in the final frame, Littlefield went on a, 20-2, run to rally back and take the contest, 55-44.
Edgemon led the Lady Cats in scoring with 26 points, while McNeese finished with nine points, and Arianna Cruz netted eight points. Jasmine Barrios finished with five points, while Kennadi Hanlin tallied four points, and Maerysa Saenz finished with two points. Danica Jouett added one point in the contest.
