JV1 Lady Cats take down Hereford JV, 47-43

    The Littlefield JV1 Lady Cats defeated Hereford on Tuesday evening, 47-43, at Wildcat Gymnasium.

    Littlefield held a two-point lead, 13-11, over Hereford at the end of one, but Hereford poured in 12 points in the second frame to take the lead, 23-22, going into the locker room at halftime.

    Out of the break, Littlefield poured in 17 points in the third quarter to take a, 39-35, lead into the final frame, and in the fourth quarter, both teams netted eight points, as Littlefield took the contest, 47-43.

    Cali Saldana tallied 19 points to lead the team, and she was joined in double-figures scoring by Lyric Rios, who finished with 15 points. Monica Elizondo chipped in nine points, while Brianna Martinez contributed three points and Iris Hernandez finished with one point in the contest.
