Hornets fall to New Home in first round

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity basketball had their season come to an end on Monday, as they fell to the New Home Leopards, 6039.

New Home jumped out in front early, outscoring the Hornets, 15- 7. The Leopards poured in 18 points in the second quarter to take a, 33-10, going into the locker room at halftime.

Sudan netted 15 points in the third quarter, but trailed the Leopards, 5325, going into the final quarter of play. Sudan outscored the Leopards, 14-7, in the fourth quarter, but fell short, 60-39.

Haden Provence tallied nine points, eight rebounds, three steals, two blocks and one assist, while Aspen Reyher chipped in eight points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocks, and Brian Delgado contributed eight points, two steals, one block and one rebound.

Christian Delgado tallied five points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal, while Kyler Edwards added five points, three rebounds and two steals and Dylan Provence finished with four points, five rebounds and one steal.
