As Christ followers, we all have our personal testimonies don’t we? That is the personal testimony of our lives, of how we came to the saving knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ. We know that all the TESTS that we’ve had to endure in our lives as sinners apart from Christ, have turned into a TESTIMONY. Now in our newfound Relationship with Christ our Lord, it is to bring God glory and point back to Jesus when we share it with others who ask. In fact the Bible says in (1 Peter 3:15) “but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, be ready to give a defense to everyone who ask you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;”
Our lives do not consist only of our “personal salvation testimony” though. Although powerful and essential, we all have our daily testimonials as well, of breakthroughs and praise reports that we often experience and encounter in our daily lives as children of the most High God.. and what many people don’t realize is that -
Testimonial sharing should be a part of our “everyday lives”. Psalm (71:15-18) says “15My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And Your salvation all the day,For I do not know their limits.16 I will go in the strength of the Lord God;I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.17 O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works.18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded,O God, do not forsake me,Until I declare Your strength to this generation,Your power to everyone who is to come.”
Testimonials sharing should aslo be a regular part of “church life” – (Psalm 40:9-10) says “9 I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness In the great assembly;Indeed, I do not re strain my lips,O Lord, You Yourself know.10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart;I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth From the great assembly.”
There are many benefits that come from sharing our testemonials of breakthrough in our daily lives!
• It Lifts up peoples spirit
• It Encourages the discouraged
• It Gives hope to the hopeless
• It Reminds us that God is still Good ,Sovereign ,and in Control
• And lastly, it points back to Jesus giving Glory to God.
This is where I’m going with all this, see, many times people won’t hesitate to talk and share about what the enemy is doing in this world or in their own lives, but when God does something for amazing for us, we have a tendency to shrink back and stay quiet for many reasons, mainly fear ….….but look what our Lord says in-(Luke 8:38- 39) “38 Now the man from whom the demons had departed begged Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 “Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you.” And he went his way and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.”
We see Jesus commanding us to return and tell what good things He has done!!! Hallelujah !!!!
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, please let me end by encouraging you, if indeed you have been born again. To not only be willing to share your personal salvation testimony at any given moment, but to also make it a God-habit to never hesitate to share with others what God is doing every day in your life! You never know when that might be exactly what someone else needed to hear. Amen & Amen
With love, your brother in Christ,
Pastor Billy Montes
