PASTOR’S CORNER

Bold & Resilient Faith ...

Hello dear friends, I want to speak to you this morning in light of all the recent events that have taken place in our world here recently and times past, but more specifically, in light of the passing of our dear brother in Christ Charlie Kirk Its no secret that we live in a world where fear and uncertainty seem to speak louder every day — through the latest news, our circumstances, and even our own thoughts. But as followers of Christ, we are not called to shrink back. In fact, the complete opposite is our calling. Dear brothers and sisters, we are called to stand boldly and endure faithfully, not in our own strength, but in the strength of the Lord! The Apostle Paul, who faced trials of every kind, declared with unshakable confidence: “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”— 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NIV) Bold and resilient faith does not mean that we won’t face the emotions of fear and worry at times. What it means is that we will not be overtaken by these feelings and emotions,,, rather we will allow them to work for us, and not against us, trusting the ONE who alone goes before us!

Paul’s words remind us that faith doesn’t avoid hardship — it faces it, boldly and resiliently, knowing God is with us. Resilient faith endures. Bold faith steps forward even when the path is uncertain. The Lord says in Isaiah: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you... For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” — Isaiah 43:2-3 (NIV) In times of testing, it’s tempting to retreat, but dear friends — bold and resilient faith presses on, not because we are fearless, but because we are grounded in the One who is faithful. Amen So if today finds you tired, discouraged, or even afraid, I encourage you: Lift your eyes. Stand your ground. Speak God’s promises out loud. He hasn’t brought you this far to leave you now.

This is your moment to shine brighter than you ever have before! — not just surviving, but standing bold and resilient, trusting that the God who called you is more than able to carry you through.

With Love, Your brother in Christ Jesus our Lord Pastor Billy Montes
