Dear Editor and Readers, My letter is written on behalf of the Littlefield Cemetery Association.
This is for the “Old Cemetery” as opposed to the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Did you know the Cemetery Association is still active and doing our best to take care of the cemetery?
Did you know we would love some help mowing and week eating?
Did you know nobody much cares or notices until the cemetery looks bad, then some notice?
Maybe you didn’t know the two men who do the work out at the cemetery suffered major health events this summer? With this happening their was no one to work for several weeks. If you do some work, it is appreciated and noticed.
We survive on dues for $25 per member, per year and the sale of some burial plots.
Anyone can make a donation at any time and in any amount.
Memorials can also be made. Your money is used solely for cemetery upkeep.
Sixty-eight statements were mailed in September. At this time 48 have responded.
Thank you to those who have made payments and thank you for taking time to read this letter.
Friends and loved ones buried out at the Littlefield Cemetery deserve the best we can do. We are tying!
