Sammy Smith, age 75, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 in Lubbock. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Fresh Fire Fellowship Church in Lubbock. Interment followed at Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield with Pastor Jarrod Dugger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Moore Rose Funeral Home.
Sammy Gene Smith was born Aug. 11, 1945, to Sam and Una Smith in Lingleville, TX. Sammy married Kathryn Ray, in Clovis, NM, on May 22, 1965. Sammy worked for Furr’s Supermarket as a butcher and achieved the title of meat director for Furr’s incorporated. He was an avid gardener.
