The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team brought home multiple post-season awards in District 3-2A, headined by Trent Wilson being unanimously named the District’s offensive MVP, Alan Flores winning Newcomer of the Year and Jaden Conley being named Co-Defensive MVP.
First team All-District offensive selections include offensive linemen, Jeremiah Castillo and Drew Carr; running Josue Cervera; wide receivers, Kaleb Robinson and Salvador Juarez.
First team All-District defensive selections include defensive linemen Castillo and unanimous selection Matthew Lopez; unanimous linebacker selection Cervera; unanimous defensive back selection Juarez and utility Marcello King.
Second team All-District offensive selections included wide receiver, Truett Kerby; offensive lineman, Jon Conley and kicker Caleb Groetken, while second team All-District defensive selections included defensive lineman, Joel Williams; linebacker Carr; defensive back Robinson and punter King.
Those receiving Honorable Mention were defensive linemen, Jon Conley and Angel Rosa; offensive lineman Julian Salas; tight end, Thys Danzeisen and wide receiver Tony Vargas.
Academic All-District honors went to Carr, Cervera, Kerby, Castillo, Jaden Conley, Enrique Gonzalez, Ryan Huddleston, Juarez, Rosa, Wilson, Vargas, Jon Conley, Braxtyn Harrell, King, Groetken and Salas.
